It isn't backing down but rather informed that applying counter-tariffs will hurt both Canadians, who will pay the tariffs, and Americans. Majority in America don't approve of DJT, and up until this bozo, America and Canada have had a positive and productive relationship (families shared).

Statistically speaking, we can never PROVE anything but rather are stuck disproving whatever it is we most want to see. It is up to the person who wants to earn the vote to earn the vote. This something Trump wasn't really required to do in 2016. In 2024, his candidacy violated the 14th Amendment.

Everyone will grow up, and a person who is honest about PTSD or other emotional trauma that wants help can obtain help while doing a good job. People like Trump at nearly 80 has never been honest or sought honest help to address his serious deficiencies.

Not as much. At least, after Trump 1.0 screwed us and left a declining economy, Biden and the Democrats with a majority responded to the needs of all the people in those first two of 4 years. That is something the republicans would never have done and still not doing.

Omg, this detail from CNN about the ICE hiring snafu is wild. This seems like an HR 101 level thing to get right.

They turned a hiring bonus into something much closer to an application bonus.

Seems like a great way to burn a ton of cash. Also? Here’s some waste for sure!

The signing bonus also prompted discussions internally because it’s not contingent on a key part of the hiring process, which is passing the academy, another source said. Even candidates who don’t pass the academy and are slotted for administrative jobs are still pocketing thousands of dollars.
