First virtual event of the evening is over and it involved panic and me moderating the event when that wasn’t the plan.

Second event has kicked off with someone else moderating but I’m just sitting here listening to to them it because of the first one. Just in case?

house heat turned on on and my coat on a chair moved & I thought the cat 🐈‍⬛ was walking towards me

really sucks that we have to outlive them

Moved that coat

I've had my panic moment for the day. Should have listened to the warning sign the 2003 vehicle gave me about it's battery❄️ before I left.

Got halfway to my destination but running the heat full plus a hill meant the power dropped. Engine was still going so I gave it some gas, turned around & home.

Coffee time … then we check on the snow situation (there’s definitely snow)

Winter weather snow advisory is a different kind of serious this time. ❄️

NEW: Doxing-for-hire services are using forging emergency data requests from law enforcement to trick major tech companies like Apple and Amazon into handing over people's private information. @davidgilbert.bsky.social w/ the scoop: www.wired.com/story/doxers...
Doxers Posing as Cops Are Tricking Big Tech Firms Into Sharing People's Private Data
A spoofed email address and an easily faked document is all it takes for major tech companies to hand over your most personal information.

Fighting off sinus crud and feeling fuzzy headed but not actually sick sick (nor even congested more like potential precursor) seems to have shifted into a headache. Is this progress?

Chasing the winter sun again …

I don’t have the energy for certain things.

The statement is both in general and also about today?

Does anyone know if anyone is working on a list / directory website for PDSs that are open to join? #atproto

I'm aware of blue.mackuba.eu/directory/pd... & blog.indexx.dev/3lz3kftpf4k25

Something like this for PDSs:
joinmastodon.org/servers
instances.social/list/old
BUT less about categories

Anyone I know use Logseq? The last few rounds of updates have looked interesting.

I'm going to have to break out the spreadsheet and see what my notes are on why I'm not using it and maybe give it a quick test.

Small fire in the fireplace tonight.

This was one of several things keeping me from saying it could be an alternative. I do far too much in spreadsheets myself.

Do I think it's for everyone and every purpose still? No. But more alternatives are a good thing.

Rolling out gradually (I don't yet have access to it yet.)
You requested it, now it’s here - introducing Proton Sheets! The privacy-first alternative to Excel and Google Sheets.

Spreadsheets form the framework of modern businesses, and with Proton Sheets, you can ensure your data is private and secure.

Little tiny pinecones.

Snow hasn’t melted off yet and though I went for another walk today, I didn’t take more photos so this is from yesterday.

(The pants I wore today were not as warm despite being corduroy.)

This is a nice amount of snow. It’s pretty but not problematic to leave the house.

Is it my imagination or are some of paid ads posts somehow brighter on instagram? Like possibly lightly overriding the night shift yellow on iPhones?

I feel like I’m going to have to take a video with a second device and then check color of stills here… screen recording I swear isn’t catching it.

I swear once a year I end up angry at the Cricut cutting machine because I have some rush thing I could fix if it could do more precise print & cut.

I really just need to research the Siser Juliet, Silhouette, Starcraft & various plotters to get some other machine next year...

Anyone have one?
