If you write/draw/roleplay an OC that is a person of color, you need to do extensive research to ensure they are portrayed with grace.

I’ve seen waaaaaay too many instances of bastardizing cultures for personal gain.

Shouldn’t be niche, but, unfortunately that’s asking for too much.

I think a lot of fantasy fans, especially, white ones talking about BIPOC cultures, approach culture research from a pre-conceived notion of it or a pre-determined goal and then refuse to acknowledge they were wrong because it's an indictment of themselves, especially if they think they're an ally.
