true.. imo i actually wouldnt mind seeing the game (and re0) get remade cuz they do have their issues
but i still think they deserve to be preserved regardless of quality,,

tbf the ps4 came out two years later so by then most people had already moved on
that and the 2010s where the height of the "actiony" re era, like re6 came out the next year
pretty awful timing for them 😔

tbf most people who beg for remakes never rly had interest in actually playing the og game at all, thats something ive always noticed with alot of talks online about remakes and it bums me out so much 😔

sure the classic games are more niche now compared to the modern ones but thats more due to the fact capcom has completely held back on preserving the originals, its why talks of a RE4 remake was seen as unnecessary for years since anybody who wanted that game could've played it whenever they wanted

cant rly agree. people dont show "interest" because there's literally no way to play the originals, the only option prior to GOG was the ps3 store and by that point people had already moved on

i remember when the GOG ports first dropped someone on twitter got mad at me when i said we shouldn't feel grateful towards capcom and instead to gog instead since they where the ones who pushed for the ports...
