One of the cruelest tricks society played on creative people was planting the idea that being proud of your work is somehow unseemly and egotistical.

Almost every artist I've seen doing the Frieren thing and claiming to have aced it aren't drawing her at anything like as low of an angle as the original was trying to do.
Not an attack on anyone's skill, just of course it's easier if you do an easier thing.

A thing from sci-fi and fantasy that bothers me more than it should;
When non-human characters are referred to as human, especially when it's used like a compliment.
It just comes off as humans assuming they're automatically better than everyone else.
