Because people confuse "critical as in critical thinking" with "critical as in criticizing something," so they think that "look for something bad, no matter how far-fetched" is what "being critical" means.

Okay. What literary criticism IS, is like taking a mechanical clock apart to see all the gears and learn how it fits together and approach your next clock with more knowledge of what makes it tick.

No amount of "Never invent data." or other "prompt engineering" will ever work. LLMs are simply not able to comprehend what that means. It just turns text input into numbers and spits out numbers that approximate something a human might say based on its training data

All it can do is "Invent data"

Seeing people nonchalantly post stuff like makes me feel like I'm going crazy honestly.

A post from an academic on blue sky that says: "I'm learning about "prompt engineering" when asking LLMs to extract data. I now add this to all instructions:

Style
Be concise, analytic, and specific (cite page/figure if provided). If essential info is missing, keep going but flag Unclear and exact data needed. Never invent data.

The Paradox of Tolerance disappears if you look at tolerance not as a moral standard, but as a social contract,
If someone does not abide by the terms of the contract, then they are not covered by it.
In other words: The intolerant are not following the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance.
Since they have broken the terms of the contract, they are no longer covered by the contract, and their intoerlance should NOT be tolerated.

Sprry as someone who teaches rhetoric, this is a wonderful response to the Paradox of Tolerance. I cannot tell you how many times my students have had debates about this. This is the response. This does indeed fix it. I cannot wait to tell this to my classes now.
Philosophically and rhetorically this completely resolves the Paradox of Tolerance and I am floored by its simplicity and angry I never saw it before

One one hand this lawsuite poses a real threat for 3rd party ecosystem around tabletop gaming. On the other hand this is going right to the edge of IP infringement. But if they sue him about that and win it won't stop the entire 3D-print competition that actually is competing with their monopoly

which is why GW doesn't try to sue on IP basis alone. There is a lot GW can't own in there. WotC had similar problems with DnD. You can't own the stuff that makes the game work; you can only own specific names, designs, and characters.

Generally, he is depicted with either a Crutch or sitting down. The wheelchair depictions are less common but they do exist. The myth specifically describes him as "Cripple" or "Lame" with a limp. Able to walk short distances but with difficulty and or pain.
