“How could these 8 senators let us down so badly!?” is a question that only makes sense if you think the two main parties in the USA aren’t capitalism-first in their outlook.

There aren't enough characters available in a post to describe how much I agree with her entire piece. Go read it

"Nearly 50 years later, we’re still living in the house that Reagan built—in a politics that treats poverty as a moral failing and encourages white people to blame Black people for it."

Visiting West Virginia this weekend, I was thinking of time, perspective, and safety. The strip of cabins illuminated against the night remind me of how narrow our habitable range really is. We're never as safe as we hope.

Definitely a sign of utterly cool and reasonable things happening in the world and not at all a warning about buying into the spurious promises of technology without ethical guardrails and/or believing the hype of politicians.

I think Gavin Newsom's press team is clever, sure.
But we could really do with a whole lot more of THIS than online snark.
Boston will not back down from who we are and what we stand for.

Are Foveon sensors weird? Yes.
But is using Sigma's software to convert them an unnecessary hassle? Also yes.
But are the resulting images worth it? Sadly...yes.

"What a civilization this is! Naïve gentlemen with a genius for mechanics suddenly become the arbiters over the lives and fortunes of hundreds of thousands. Their moral pretensions are credulously accepted at full value."

Reinhold Niebuhr in 1927 on Henry Ford. Could be about Elon Musk today.

Want me to yell at you for why being white is bad but it's also kind of not your fault but actually you should do something about it?
