Free Falling - watching swallows swoop through the air catching mosquitoes is mesmerizing. I painted this while thinking of life's crossroads. I have found that once a commitment is made if we let go & trust & flow w/ the currents, we will be led forward. #art #artist #painting #bird

Twin Suns ~ In this cosmic collection painting, I imagined what it might be like after a sun divided into two. I played w/ the idea of outer & inner space. I used two figure eight waves as infinity loops & more waves to give the sense of ever expanding movement. #art #artist #painting #space

Orbs #2 ~ in this painting; I worked on it daily for over 2 weeks. I started painting curving lines that branched out like tree branches in several colors coming in from all sides. I then added orbs & worked on the color blending & adding more waves. #art #artist #painting

Bonfire -We each have an inner fire that we can call upon for standing up for what we feel is right. The fire element represents action, power, passion, & creativity. In medieval times salamander nature spirits were thought to provide the spark for starting the fire. #art #artis #painting

Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright - my 1st big cat painting done in the style of Henri Rousseau. I chose a night scene
from my experience in Sumatran rainforest. One late night we woke to dogs barking. The next morning our host showed us large paw prints ~ a tiger had visited. #art #painting #artist

Tuxie w/ Sunflowers ~ Tuxie's face is challenging to paint because of the asymmetric patterns on his symmetric face. I worked at getting his face to work for quite a while. Tuxie & his brother, Truffle keep me company as I paint.
