Matt listened to her closely. Having conversations with others now was... different. He could see the pain in their face rather than their heart. Illyana was in pain as she talked about herself. The light was slightly distracting but it wasn't enough to keep his focus on her.

Matt listened to her closely. Having conversations with others now was... different. He could see the pain in their face rather than their heart. Illyana was in pain as she talked about herself. The light was slightly distracting but it wasn't enough to keep his focus on her.

Matthew immediately dropped his focus away from the coffee and food and focused purely on his wife. His hands held onto her gently.

She prepared his coffee exactly how he liked it and placed the mug on the table in front of him. She sneakily slid on his lap while he was eating cuddling close to his chest.
She was feeling very tired with work ,the new puppy and the Christmas preparations so she did need a small break.
