This is the second time (in a week) a Portuguese person yells at me at work for daring to speak Brazilian Portuguese instead of the continental dialect. I don't know what they expect me to do, honestly, other than transfer them to a continental Portuguese interpreter.

He successfully bit a hole in my finger today while I gave him antibiotics. Despite his best efforts, he swallowed the pill, but I can see it's going to be a long-ass week of cat wrangling because he's the absolute WORST to give pills to

Just had to interpret this to a mother who is desperate to make sure her children can eat fruits and vegetables while she's unemployed.

Wlad health update: he's in his hidey-hole (the cat house portion of our small cat tree) and he managed to get in there all by himself after recovering some from the anesthesia. I was worried about putting him there in case he would fall down, but he found his comfort. He's resting and recovering <3

As someone who works in healthcare, always always call them back to press the issue if they don't contact you within a couple of weeks. Most people won't think you're rude or impatient for it, and most of the nurses and doctors I work with advise their patients to do this, it's so easy for them

At the vet with Władysław, he's getting his teeth and gums cleaned. Bloodwork is being done, he's on antibiotics, and we suspect something going on with his liver.
