Really need to start bringing my own robe/blanket. This is so unnecessary
Petition to get the paper gowns at the OB/GYN office to at least be a little longer? I mean wtf this is basically a paper towel. “Here - use this is cover yourself” uh ok sure. Let’s do that.

Proud papa moment: my son J published a letter in the @nytimes.com today (in print tomorrow) on the need to think our definitions of autism.
Pretty impressive No Kings turn out at the Delaware beaches
Colleagues who work full time all have au pairs, live in family, or full time nanny with many back ups. It’s insane. (TFH we work weird hours, so school/daycare would never cover us anyway, but still!)
Yup! Hubs and I made it *1 month* of both working full time when I came back from mat leave & realized there was just no way. And we have a ton of family support! Just absolutely unmanageable. I went PRN and our lives got a million times better.
This makes sense - I didn’t test it (it’s cold), but it just doesn’t look …safe and effective
This is the fan installation at our beach house rental. Can’t decide if this is clever or concerning
This is a million times better of a take than the NYT article today
When politicians discuss autism, pay attention to who they say they’re helping. You’ll find it’s almost always “families” or “parents of kids with autism,” rather than #autistic people ourselves. Their primary concern is the burden we supposedly impose on others. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
This article didn’t sit well with me at all. Having a kiddo with extra needs is *hard* and all RFK wants to do is make it worse. Last RT really makes the correct point instead
Waking up and choosing violence today.

The New York Times is once again running a former friend where the bottom line is “I don’t like RFK but at least he’s trying to help out the parents of children with autism.”

No, he is not

Ugggghhhh cardinal sin of accidentally interacting with a social media post when you’re supposed to only be anonymously scrolling
Car parked next to me in the doctors lot had a half empty bottle of wine perched in the cup holder
Snack upgrade for tonight. This was like spicy kettle corn. Shockingly good
it was pre-sliced muenster 🫣
It’s genuinely embarrassing
Next level “lazy nachos.” Literally can’t be bothered to microwave the cheese to melt it. Please discuss
Yesterday me packed a nice salad to take to work today. Today me would really like to order some spicy Asian food instead.

You know how you're supposed to put your own mask on before helping others on an airplane? This is why I make my coffee first in the morning.
When you’re playing doctor (age 5) and your parents are doctors: “my [stuffy] had something sharp poke his aorta. How do we fix that?”
And after you do, get a stupid amount of treats
Get your flu vaccines people
Yup! We work opposite hours to avoid daycare - it’s super hard but feels worth it
