Here is my intro thread 🧵 since I ended up on a couple of starter packs. So, Hi! My name is Daniel. I typically post about two things:

Toxic Christian Theology
Fermenting things, typically beer and wine

Wild Hops! Little Toad Creek's Hop-A-Long Pale ale. Made with Neomexicanus hops foraged from the Gila forest. It is delightful. Crisp, earthy, and slightly spicey with a very distinct fruitiness I've only found from Neomexicanus hops that is almost grapelike. 1/

There are so many damned groypers embedded in the bureaucracy I don't see a way forward in 2028 without spending months giggin' frogs throughout Washington D.C.
Homeland Security‘s social media gets more unhinged and master-race-y every day. Today they want us to believe that terrorizing immigrants is “the fight for western civilization.”

I'm reheating the posole my daughter and I made to have it for the third day in a row and I'm not tired of it yet, because that's impossible with homemade posole.

Since my wife and kiddo are Native American, Thanksgiving at our house is always small and humble. Game hen, stuffing, and corn. My wife makes a magnificent game hen, and I crave it all autumn.

As a history and geography nerd, this American vs. USian thing is kind of hilarious.

My child's transition to New Mexico over the last year has been a success. She's eating the leftover posole she cooked herself and drinking fanta. I'll have her being judgy about green chile and burning Zozobra by next year.

The Easter bunny is fascinated with Christmas. Seeking to steal more ornaments. (She already has two stashed away).

The chef is cooking her lunch. Can't wait to see how she does.

My child informed me that she wants to learn how to make Posole, so I guess we will do that today.

My taproom has been taken over by the Christmas elf I married.

My dryer plays "Doe Forelle" by Schubert to tell me my clothes are dry. That doesn't mean I should take it to the Philharmonic to see if it has an emotional reaction or wants to audition for first chair.
can’t fucking catch a breath

make it stop

The internet: *Discovers something*
Me: Hey! There's a really old, terrible episode of Star Trek for that!

"She’s even seen tutorial videos that advise specifically on how to target elderly Facebook users with AI images."

Grifting old people has got to be one of the top uses for AI out there.

When my 88 year old mother visited me, I saw just how much AI nonsense was pushed on her. It was staggering.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

I'm an Eagle Scout. People that think that one of scouting's major contribution was being a "boys only" place are blithering idiots. Scouting has had it's problems, some of them awful, but becoming more diverse was not one of them. In fact becoming more diverse helps combats problems. 1/

I'm an Eagle Scout, and the people who think that BSA being a boys-only space was what made it worthwhile are deranged. I'm so proud to help out with my daughter's troop

Added in some wine and let it cook off then finished with cream and simmered it till the pasta was tender. Garnished with parsley and served with bread sticks. Tasty and kiddo approved.

Dice the onion, sauté it with an absurd amount of garlic, set aside, cook the meat and season with salt and pepper garlic powder, thyme and parsley. Then add some veggie stock and broken spaghetti. Cooking for 12 minutes, but I'll add the cream in five.

Let's see what I can make with the nonsense. A forgotten onion, frozen cheesesteak meat, leftover cream from another recipe, and thick spaghetti.

Shall I transform random things in my freezer, refrigerator, and pantry before they good bad or get forgotten? I think I shall.

My wife secretly desired a giant Christmas tree since our house in NM has very high ceilings. She didn't say anything though since Christmas isn't a huge deal to me. However, making my wife happy is a big deal to me so I secretly procured a giant tree.

I love stumbling across local Facebook pages filled with religious weirdos. Silver medal isn't bad. I'll bet we could get the gold if we really tried.

Me and my little bunny buddy sharing an apple on a Saturday, as it should be.
