Spain may bring back indoor face mask rules as flu and COVID cases surge. Health leaders will meet on Dec 3 to decide whether masks should again be required in hospitals, health centers, and possibly other crowded indoor venues like cinemas or theatres to help reduce transmission.

Old photo: if Maggie Thatcher had got her way, this would have been - at best - an unused monument to our industrial past, and to those who died in the construction of the Settle and Carlisle railway.
Happily, Ribblehead Viaduct remains an important part of our working transport infrastructure...

A copy of the 1911 Census return for Dora Thewlis who was boarding along with her sister on Bradley Street South, Huddersfield (a location now under Kingsgate Shopping Centre's car park). Unlike previous census returns, which give her birth place as "Honley", this time she recorded it as "Meltham".
