I'm Hastin. I live in a towne home. Theme park visitor. Sims player. Job worker.

One-time Disney Historian. Two-time Raithe Kole heist-helper. Summer Cowboy. Persistent Optimist.
As of this morning, all ticket types had no reservations today. An entire park technically filled to capacity with "nobody goes on SBS".
Sunny Sunday’s at Disneyland

Why do people post on Threads like they are doing something for the first time and the only ones to ever do it?

"i spent my sunday afternoon exploring a newer fast food destination, Raising Cane's - unique for their chicken tenders and signature sauces, this location was full of unique surprises"

Somewhere, I hope Jim Henson is smiling. Disney’s reboot of The Muppet Show was pitch perfect and almost as if they had just picked up where they left off. None of these convoluted attempts at making the characters relevant. Just put them on a stage with celebrities and let the fun and mayhem begin

#TheMuppetShow was delightful. Writing and tone has me excited for RnRC, hopefully there's a good queue video of bits.

The broadcast version had a couple of short ad breaks, but there was the long form "world of worlds" Walt Disney World ad - if only there was an attraction based on this show.

It feels that way. It's 9:00pm on a Sunday night, park closes at Midnight, it's empty - but that 🚫 appears on the calendar, it's like they are saying "you can't come because your functional use to us is unnecessary" (trying to sell you more or putting you in queues to sell more Lightning Lane).
You know the situation is dire when they lose the guys who just want to walk around and take pictures of signage.

Disneyland pass expired. The mental load of managing weekend plans and reservations is wearing me down.

Combine this with shrinking festivals, stale ops, and poor arrival/security experiences - feels like there's a lot of contempt for the customer.

Still love what Disneyland was, but need a break.

Matt Ouimet on Josh D'Amaro as CEO: www.linkedin.com/posts/matt-o...

"I believe in Josh but not in the stock.

At the current scale of the company with the challenges noted, expecting significant growth to drive the stock price higher is a fairy tale."

When you do the ticket checkout flow, Disney is now selling basically something that only the 3rd party resellers used to sell, a $100 Dining Card (basically a gift card valid only at F&B) for 10% off.

The regional strategy for Six Flags is out: www.laughingplace.com/parks/six-fl...

Gold passes (that previously didn't get free All Parks upgrades) get the whole region! West, Midwest, Texas and East.

Glad they got him out there today for one last ride with the cast. 🥰

And...the drum is out.

As someone who does many a closing event/day, it's basically a party. Everyone's generally happy there. A fun send-off.

I'd be there if I lived out there.

Really curious what they do with the ride system and a new Indy with projections and new sets, but I'll miss the dry wit and fun of Dinosaur.

It's pretty clear with the upcoming shutdown that ART has way less capacity than they even had a few months ago.

The Magic Key information on the wait time boards has gotten a little more aggressive, suggesting you upgrade your ticket.

It's not a good show, but I love the bubbles.

A @caesarmcmagic.bsky.social update. The whole section is out.

Help. The Magic Key Terrace portions have, uh, exploded.

Very curious about this.

Is this just a MagicBand+ reciever in a new toy, or did they roll out *yet another* light-up platform?
News: A Pixar Pal-A-Round popcorn bucket is coming to Disneyland Resort on February 6.

The bucket will react to select locations in both theme parks with changing color and lighting patterns. This includes attractions and select nighttime spectaculars.
