Had a lovely first visit to our Christmas market (best in Bavaria, one of best in nation) tonight under warm (temps in upper 50s) weather and low crowds of mostly monied Americans.
Normally, I’d have pics aplenty to share, but I just wasn’t in the mood. I really hate the world right now.

I don’t think the answer is good. And I may well have to bankrupt myself so that everyone in my family is covered. But who cares? Two suicide attempts for this nation in under a decade. This one has us mortally wounded.

Sitting in a German doctor’s packed waiting room for something that’s been bothering me for five years (and is very likely nothing at all beyond my own bad posture and sleeping position) and wondering how sick some of the dozen plus people waiting are and if they’re contagious. But no co-pays!

For YEARS experts have fretted over public opinion on defence spending and how it would be impossible to justify spending over 1 or 2%. Turns out 35% (!!!!) of Germans think we’re already spending OVER 5 % of GDP. WTH.

So, I learned something today that I’m sure I knew, but had forgotten. In order to get to Christmas market, we walked behind the local Porsche dealership. It was closed, because it’s Sunday. It absolutely blows my mind that the auto lobby in this country allows that. Sundays are 1-2 for sales in USA
