We live in an era where the world learns that the United States has kidnapped the leader of another country in a social media post that’s sandwiched between advertisements for pillows.

Earl Grey French 75
Earl Grey-infused gin makes this French 75 brunch appropriate! This strong, sparkling, citrusy cocktail would be welcome any time of day, though.

Cassandra was right, a TREMENDOUS PROPHET, maybe the best, with incredible instincts, nobody saw things like her. The ESTABLISHMENT LOSERS laughed at her, they had no loyalty, TOTAL DISASTER! If they listened, Troy would still be standing, believe me. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

In Norway, they’re building a new stave church, using only Viking-age tools and techniques. 1,000 people are involved, and it is expected to be complete by 2030. https://www.visitnorway.com/typically-norwegian/how-to-build-a-stave-church/

President Donald Trump gifted the world with nearly 200 Truth Social posts (and counting) on Christmas Day, where he amplified conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and called for a member of Congress to be deported.

A sad day today with the loss of one of Australia’s iconic LGBTQIA+ businesses. This little shop was instrumental to my coming out and growing into my queer identity. Gay bookstores are more than shops, they are community hubs. A real loss.

I once had a GM mansplain (incorrectly) our own software architecture to me. When I (politely) interrupted to make a correction, he said: I'm sorry, this is more of a one-way conversation. If I ever manage to retire, I think "One-Way Conversations" will be the title of my career reflections.

When someone suggests that Australians are surely not gullible enough to fall for some politician's ludicrous dog whistling, laughable incompetence, I remind them that Scott Morrison was once our Prime Minister.
