A nice counteroffer to US trade war demands would be to work with US on strengthening its industries provided US devalues and disarms it's oligarchs? And other such stupid fantasies. But seriously why would any serious state want to reform policy to enrich like 5 guys in united states?

There are two way I could interpret trump wanting to buy Gaza Strip:
A: Mindlessly corrupt capitalist disaster exploitation
B: He wants to reboot the war on terror by trying to provoke anti-american extremism as much as possible

Bought cheap PMR walkie talkies for when helping wife lay trails for dog in woods and whatnot, didn't expect much for reception range and quality. Moments after turning on them for first time I pick up chatter from staff at nearby recycling facility using the same default channel. Neat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do enjoy the mix of people and opinions here, within the last day I've been called a Luddite for not being excited enough about AI stuff, been chastised for being too into AI stuff, and been told shrooms would fix me somehow (even though I don't feel I need fixing like, at all??). Weird place :P

Feel like an idiot for having missed that my laptop iGPU wouldn't be able to accelerate cycles rendering in blender (i7-1280P so iris XE 96) but now realizing opencl support was dropped just months prior to me buying it. Sadge, my 5-6 years old XPS with a shitty 1050 still better for the job.

I don't want to be a hater and I do actually use LLM's throughout the day, so I've reached a deal with myself:
I'll believe the the whole AI hype is good actually once a product comes along that does the laundry, the dishes and the cleaning so I can do the fun stuff. Until then, meh.
