Also known as Teresa. Learning to live my best life in Brittany. It's a process. Love Dartmoor, old stones, chapels, folklore, ghosties, nature, art, dogs, food, cooking, books, travel and other stuffs. Still learning.
A friend said I'm going out to do X and I may be some time. We both smiled at the Capt. Oates reference.
I wonder what Capt.Oates would make of his famous last words used so frequently and often rather flippantly. Would he be quietly happy?
I like to think so.

I'm not really thinking about Christmas because there's currently approximately 137 things that have to happen ( and work out) before then.

Only a few weeks away from my birthday, which has the potential to be very different this time.

Potential.

It'll be interesting anyway.

I'm surrounded by boxes and then last night had to rummage through a couple to find the potato masher.

This is what happens when you're suddenly craving mashed potato.

Not a great photo but there's a big ring around the Moon. Can you see it?

There's a lovely blue sky but the temperature has certainly dropped. It's a 'tights under my jeans' day today.

I've woken up with my regular bad back which crops up every few weeks. Not good timing. I have lots to do.

Pacing myself.

It seems the birds aren't the only ones joining in the festivities this year… 🎄

A rather magnificent winter friend is waiting behind door 3.

My mistake.
The artist is actually ROSAMUND FOWLER.

Apologies, Rosamund.

I did some deep cleaning yesterday which meant actually pulling out furniture and cleaning behind it. YES! Really....🙄🤭😁 It was quite the adventure. 🤣

Anyway, Tuesday beckons and I'm off to the hairdresser in a mo. Not my fave thing but he's a lovely guy so it'll be okay.

I've always loved holly. Bright, glossy green leaves often brightening up the brown hedgerows here. So here's some to share on the first of December. Photo, my own.

Well, that's another day over, another month over and soon it will be another year over.

And on that note, goodnight.

Went to a local animal charity Christmas Fayre this afternoon. Met someone I know and had a nice chat. Sat with a cup of tea ( and cake) next to someone I didn't know and had a nice chat.

It was all rather nice.

Now comes a winter of ghosts and those beasts that live at the edges of fever when it has turned to shiver. In this season's shortened light, rain grows sharp teeth and wind becomes a spearpoint against bones. Even dawn seems reluctant to hoist hope high. – #DAKilroy, 1982 #Dawn
