Die My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, is a bit too slow, abstract and ambiguous for my liking but Lawrence's audacious performance makes it still worth watching. This certainly won't be for everyone! In cinemas Friday.

I had an absolute blast with Predator: Badlands, a fun sci-fi action movie with a fantastic performance from Elle Fanning. It's funnier than expected, the action setpieces are great, and the landscapes are gorgeous. In cinemas Friday.

Another cinema recommendation! Riz Ahmed and Lily James' new film Relay is an intense and gripping old-school thriller that you don't see often in the cinema anymore. This has plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end.

Bugonia, my current favourite of the year and certainly my favourite Emma Stone-Yorgos Lanthimos collab, is in cinemas today! I cannot wait to see this absolutely bonkers film again.

Tessa Thompson is a devilish delight in Nia DaCosta's reimagining of Ibsen's classic play Hedda Gabler. Sometimes it's thrilling to watch rich people do horrible things during a fabulous party in a fancy house! Hedda is now streaming on Prime Video.

Colin Farrell is terrific as a desperate gambling addict in the psychological thriller Ballad of a Small Player. But I was pretty underwhelmed by the story itself, which is a shame as I had a lot of faith in Conclave's Edward Berger. Now on Netflix.

During the London Film Festival, I met with writer-director-editor Sophie Somerville to discuss her debut feature Fwends. We chatted about making a movie on a "nanobudget", improvising the dialogue and shooting guerilla-style in Melbourne.

The family fantasy adventure Sketch has flown under the radar, which is a shame because I really liked it. It's funny, heartfelt, a bit scary, and there's a lot of weird and wonderful monsters. This gem is worth seeking out! In cinemas now.

Regretting You is a clichéd and cheesy romance drama with some character decisions that are so absurd I had to laugh. However, thanks to the committed cast and hilarious supporting characters, I still enjoyed it, despite all its flaws. In cinemas Friday.

The Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, didn't work for me. It's dull and generic, and Jeremy Allen White's performance didn't blow me away. Maybe this is more for Springsteen fans. In cinemas Friday.

100 Nights of Hero, which closed this year's London Film Festival, is a weird and wonderful film starring Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe. It's funny and absolutely bonkers, but the novelty did eventually wear off in the second half.

Die My Love is a unique and unusual fever dream of a film with a fearless, audacious performance from Jennifer Lawrence. It's a bit too slow and ambiguous for my liking, but Lawrence's career-best work makes it worth a watch.

Good Fortune is a fun comedy with a surprising amount to say about class and the cost-of-living crisis. Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen are reliably hilarious, but Keanu Reeves steals the show as the chicken nugget-loving guardian angel. In cinemas now.

I found Michael Stuhlbarg's character to be the only one vaguely likeable. I felt sorry for him being in that marriage, even though he was very pass agg about it 😂
After the Hunt is one of the biggest disappointments at #LFF. Instead of being provocative, it's incoherent and doesn't know what it's trying to say. Julia Roberts and co. deserved better than this messy script. A rare fail from Luca Guadagnino.
