I usually make quilts to be given away and loved to pieces. I don’t want my quilts to end up stored away because they’re “too pretty to use.”

They are a form of expression and art, but functional art.
Tomorrow, I travel to Chicago for a work conference (NFDA), so I have a very long list of things I still need to accomplish today.
15. Unpacked the queen-sized flat sheets I ordered (full size sheet sets included flat sheets that are NOT wide enough to properly tuck 😫) and tossed them downstairs to wash
16. Gotten my daily 30 minutes of reading in already

And this is just the start…
6. Brought the UPS delivery in
7. Scooped the cat boxes
8. Gotten the dog fed and medicated
9. Located my stationery journal
10.Unboxed the inks that just arrived
11. Taken the garbage out
12. Taken the recycling out
13. Put away the clean dishes
14. Done the dirty dishes
A little after 10, and I’ve:
1. Gotten the teenager up, showered and dressed.
2. Gotten the teenager out the door w/ lunch packed and meds on board.
3. Stripped my bed and taken ALL the laundry downstairs.
4. Dried and folded all the quilts
5. Thrown the towels washed last night into the dryer.
All ten quilts brought over from the old place, freshly washed and folded. Eight were made by me, and two were gifted in the wake of being displaced by a house fire.

I made many more quilts than these 8. These are just the ones that still live with me. Most were gifts.
This is super cute! I bet it’s going to be amazing (😉) when it’s done, and your son will love having something handmade by you!
I look forward to seeing them!
I spotted the account earlier today, reported it and added it to the QuiltSky block list.
I'm always happy to see new quilters post their efforts - I love to cheer folks on :)
At a writing workshop I took earlier this year, a piece of advice was to hold something in the non-dominant/writing hand to prevent clenching too hard on the pen.

I also preferentially lean toward wider fountain pens to minimize how much I can close my fingers around them.
Finally brought my quilts over from the apartment that I'm vacating. They're all getting washed before I start using them again.

There is nothing like a freshly washed and dried quilt...
It is here. December will be a busy month for swatching fountain pen inks.
This is one of those things that's so much faster to explain, by linking to a video. While I'm not sure what the exact model of yours is, this video should get you started: youtu.be/twnRd47TC0o?...

5/ The Puzzle Master is the final book that I needed for the main prompts of the 52 Book Club's 2025 challenge, and is book 68 for the year for me.

📚💙, #readingchallenge, #the52bookclub2025
4/ the trope that a male protagonist can't be invested in the safety of a female protagonist unless he's related to her or fucking her.

Overall, I have this book 4 stars. I probably would have gone to 4.5 if not for the romance.
3/ From the opening pages, the book was engaging and I was fascinated by the puzzles that the author present in the course of the story. My only disappointment came from the shoehorning of a romance subplot. I personally think the book could have done without it, and I really, really dislike...
2/ I picked this book to fulfill Prompt 48 for the 2025 #the52bookclub challenge, Related to the Word "Puzzle."

I had no expectations going into the book, as I didn't recall anything about the plot. I purchased it on sale a while ago, and was simply picking books to fulfill prompts.
1/ Woke up early for a Saturday, because my body is just trained to be up by 7 AM now. Since everyone else - including the dog and cats - were still sleeping, I set myself to start the day with coffee and my Kobo.

Curled up under a blanket, I finished The Puzzle Master, by Danielle Trussoni.
Very true 🤣😂🤣
There are reasons I pre-ordered both lol
I totally admit to having Colorverse FOMO last year, so pre-ordered right away this year. Given the cost compared to Inkvent, it’s probably the one time I will do it.
I feel this, soul-deep.
