Toddler said the word "friend" for the first time, while pointing at an elderly lady he just met on the bus, and if that didn't warm the hearts of any child-hating individual I don't know WHAT will

Healthcare admin being very frustrating at the moment. It is entirely unreasonable to expect a patient's family members to make a three-hour round trip to arrange their weekly dosette box when there is scope for a MAR chart (that protects not just the dementia patient but the carers too).

Other chronic pain-havers - do you find you know you're going to have a bad night, even if you take your pain relief in advance? I think tonight is going to be like last night
In a lot of pain so using this 4am-being-awake rubbish to finally try and make space on my phone

I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

My UG was History + Philosophy and I spent most of my dissertation (which was on John Locke and his real life experiences of toleration/intolerance) wondering who gets to decide what gets archived and how they would catalogue it.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Quite a lot of the time, the benefits of commuting are really clear...but then sometimes your trains are cancelled and you take four buses and two hours to get you to work and your child to nursery.

The benefit of carriages being separate from each other is that apparently, when one has actual flooding because rain water is literally coming through the ceiling, you can just lock that carriage off and keep it attached to the train but the train...still...runs?

Ah yes the part of the night when you don't know if you're hearing electricity because you're autistic or because you took your venlafaxine slightly later than you should

Beginning a sentence in a very cheery manner, and ending it with a wince-worthy embarrassed squeal: "Nice to see you!!! See you next Tuesday, at...the...funeral...!?"

If you had to store books, papers and furniture in a cold garage in Scotland, potentially for years, what's the best way to do so to avoid mould or mildew?

Remember, gang, if you’re yelling insults at ICE, stick to things that will be deeply humiliating if they’re read aloud in court. Consider “Your parents only love you out of obligation, not because they like you,” “l bet you jerk off to the Teletubbies” and of course, the Yo Mama joke.
It's not just here but in some charged threat cases where DOJ is treating, "you're a Nazi" or "you're a fascist" as a threat rather than a reasonable observation.
From Bovino's deposition: (1) he calls protestors "violent" if they articulate views hostile to ICE, even if no violence is manifested; (2) he instructs his forces to attack and arrest protestors who express "hyperbolic comments," which is to say, criticism of ICE and Bovino.

Everyone talks about pattern recognition in autism but no-one talks about what it feels like when you see something that should be a pattern but isn't. A bus number 12002 with a number plate ending in 0DM and a bus number 12007 with a number plate ending in 0DT.
