In Super Mario 3D Land, the welcome screen that is displayed when starting the game for the first time appears to be much less enthusiastic about the game in the European version compared to the US version.

Its 2nd to Black 2 and White 2 for me, which also feel stuffed full of content and ambition to me. The DS era of Pokemon was pretty amazing

That game used a lot more of the Dreamcast's unique hardware features than Sa2 did. That plus everything they "remastered" was done quite poorly. Sa2B was also made by mostly the same team that made SA2 on DC unlike DX which probably helped.

At least its not as bad as SADX. 90% of the visual appeal was maintained from the original I would say compared to DX's like 10% if I'm being honest 😭

Most "fads" go through similar cycles. 2015 Minecraft was in a similar spot. Some survive phases like that and some don't.

I think it would be better if the games had a little better artistic direction behind them without needing a big budget. I mean the Let's Go games look pretty good for example. Although they are top down and a remake.

Ik its different writers and all, but it is funny to see Explorers of the Sky, when they trashed it when it released. Also not sure Legends Arceus counts as a spin off. GF considers it mainline.
