Hi! I'm Nicolas. Gamer, blogger, reviewing stuff is my hobby! Planned All Along, my blog, exists since 2013 and I reviewed over 400 games on it so far. And I'm always planning to do more! Link's down here, check out the Archive or the Index!
I prefer positivity but am fair on what I cover.

Feels like this will be a useful meme for the next few years

I am also planning something else for the end of the year - a new Top 12 but it might require people's input. I'll try to see what I can do there.

Oh well! It happens! All I hope is that I can squeeze time for a spooky review for Halloween. I do have two games I want to play before the year ends that are horror-themed. One's on PC, so I can get to it anytime. The other... not so much.

Still, hopefully I can do it.

Tonight, I'm adding images to my final Quick Review for the year. Damn, I know it wasn't *that* long, but it feels like it took forever to get through this year.

I was planning to finish this at the very end of September, so I'm basically 2.5 weeks late on the schedule I had wanted to follow.

They all look like entitled white kids with shit-eating grins who haven't had to care about consequences, much less other human beings, their entire lives.

Shame them into oblivion. May they never walk somewhere and not be addressed with anything other than spite, disgust, and hostility.

Look at all those “college aged kids” texting each other “I love Hitler.”
We are going to fucking eat you

What's her fave PF album then? Heck if I know, it probably changes like mine depending on mood. Maybe Meddle, maybe The Wall, maybe Division Bell.

Repost for a timeline cleansing. For the fun of the mention, I think my bird girl Marjorie's favorite album isn't DSOTM, it's just the easiest Pink Floyd album to find shirts for. Plus, being scientifically-minded, she does like the prism.

Received a commission today from @zigzagzazz.iheartpocket.monster, commissioned during @cozycononline.com . Art of my characters Nicolas and Marjorie being prog rock/metal dorks.

Super cute picture, I love it so much.
Anthropomorphic lion and raven next to each other; the male lion wears a hoodie with the logo of Dream Theater on it, while the raven wears a t-shirt with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album cover on it above her usual yellow top. They're both winking and smiling at the viewer, and while she has her hand resting on his shoulder, he has rested his cheekily on top of her head; both hands are doing the devil horns, index and little finger raised.

When you make protests look fun and whimsical, it not only encourages people to join in, it makes the people insisting they're violent terrorists look like absolute jokes and it's more difficult for media collaborators to push their narrative

As I said in the comments to this, remember that Pittsburgh shuts down a major road every year so that the public can hang out with weirdos in animal costumes because they adore us that much, and every year it makes all the haters look like joyless obsessive losers to the general public
dynamicsymmetry.bsky.social
Like I know there are edgelord leftists out there who look down their noses at shit like No Kings but sorry you guys, the more mass protest looks fun and family-friendly, the bigger it gets and the better its chances of being broadly effective

Portland does not own the patent on inflatable animal costume protests, come on people

In Supergiant Games' Transistor, you play as Red, a singer in a city that can change completely to people's whims. But... the city is falling apart, being Processed into data by an army of robots. And her only weapon contains the soul of her lover... Weird concept, but great gameplay.

One thing I kinda like about the 2015 Goosebumps movie is that it does kinda feel like it was written like a classic Goosebumps book. By which I mean, "chapter" cliffhangers resolved one sentence later.

Grabbed by something? Oh, it's just a branch.

"Dad, petrified, in the graveyard?" Oh, it's not.

Christopher Lloyd, of course. (I need to remember to spellcheck my announcements as well...)

Drew Blanc is a struggling animator who lands in the toony world of his own creations and has to find a way home. Yes, that's Chsitopher Lloyd in live-action. This game is a cult classic, so I was really looking forward to trying it! What did I think of it?

Time for the yearly RPG Maker game review! A gripping story of revolution against an unfair monarchy, a tale of losses and long-term victories. Cool, cool! Why are the two women of the team wearing clothes that are so damn revealing, then?

(Bilingual stream) I’m taking a break from gaming for the blog to play some Yu-Gi-Oh! (yep, again!) But this time, I’m going deep into nostalgia, thanks to the Early Days Collection!

Current game I'm trying to cover for next Monday has crashed on me every single time I played it, leaving me stuck on a single screenshot superimposed over anything else on the computer, forcing me to log off and log back on, each goddamn time.

This one's getting a goddamn paddlin'.

This whole section really.
Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

I wouldn't be surprised if the second Simpsons movie was not the end, and there were hopes for a third afterwards. Hopefully they don't wait 20 more years for that one.

I hope the second movie's tons is along the lines of the first (closer to the early seasons humor) than of the newer seasons.

I won't post a review next Monday - I need to get ahead in articles, so skipping one Monday should work just fine.

I originally hoped to finish Quick Reviews this month, but I have 5 more to do, so I guess I'll just finish them in October.

In today's review: A fairly obscure pixel-art shooter platformer/"metroidvania" about a courier that gets embroiled in a solar system-wide conspiracy that he must unravel. Things get weird, but at least there's challenge.

New art commissioned at @cozycononline.com last weekend - received it this morning before I went to work! One more picture of OC Chess, loosely inspired by the Cheschire Cat. (And, bonus, this one is safe as there's neither a weapon nor blood in the pic - unless you despise Gremlin-like faces XD)
A demonic-looking cat with tattered clothes, a chipped ear, and with an evil-looking grin.

HOLY SHIT IT'S HAPPENING

The blog has officially hit the highest number of views in a month, reaching almost 42.5k! (Last record was 40227.)

So, uh, we've still got 7 days till the end of the month. Which means that number can keep going up!
