Boring software dev.
Pathological perfectionist.
Let’s go to sleep and hope to wake up free from feelings of depression, disgust, and loneliness.

In a world that feels ugly, maybe the worst thing is to follow the example of those who hurt you. Sadly, I won’t forget and cannot forgive.

I always thought foreign spies were supposed to blend in and act like ordinary citizens visiting for business or fun. It leaves room for denial.

Alas, we've created advanced killing machines much faster than we've gained the wisdom to use them responsibly, if we ever truly needed them.

Economic sanctions are a weapon of war too, not just an alternative to it. Unlike bombs, they kill silently and often go unnoticed.

I think what I’m living through these days is a "collective national trauma".

Unfortunately, some people just never learn.

Almost two weeks ago, I woke up at 3:29 AM to the sound of explosions around me. I was suddenly in the middle of a war I had no part in. Now, they're talking about a "ceasefire", but I'm not optimistic it will last long.

I don't really like what I've posted here. Feeling like some writers who want to burn their work all the time.

Among all the folks drifting away from reality, academics might be the worst!

I'm slowly understanding how facing hardships can make one more conservative socially and fiscally.

Sticking to old habits can prevent you from discovering a platform's new features. Switching to a different platform helps you break those habits and often feels like a breath of fresh air. It doesn't mean one platform is better than the other.

Like it or not, LLMs are becoming part of everyday life for more and more people. Instead of outright opposition, activists should focus on raising awareness about their limitations and high costs.

The way I see it, "soft skills" can take you further than actual skills. Being good at self-promotion can get one ahead, even if they're not that good at anything else.

A lifelong macOS user (of a closed, proprietary system) labeling a Windows install "pollution" is beyond ironic!

Running away might save you, but the problem will persist, and those who remain will suffer even more.

Change is the enemy of a "good enough" software design.

The free software movement, despite its undeniably great achievements, hasn't solved the two main problems of leftist ideologies: economy and cult of personality. Open Source sold out, ditched free software ethics and worsened corporate exploitation. Don't blame "entitled users", fix your finances.

I might be pessimistic, but it seems to me that politicians mostly serve their own interests, and any alignment with the public good is just a lucky coincidence. They use people as tools to get what they want, so don't expect any real commitment from them.

The rapid collapse of some Silicon Valley giants' status as cultural left icons is hard to believe.

The democratic process allows even flawed ideas to be tested, so society can learn from the outcomes and move forward. The catch is, some people don't learn, and the damage may be lasting.
