My loyalty to small shops where the owner insists on making good quality things properly using good quality ingredients is so intense bc most people just make some poor superficial facsimile of a thing with the cheapest most harmful possible ingredients, and go “this should be good enough”

There is a small neighborhood chocolate shop where the owner uses very high quality dark chocolate to make all kinds of chocolate truffles & brownies & cakes that are not too sweet, and I visit so regularly she always puts in some extra truffles 🥰🍫

The one KR guy I encountered recently who is NOT lazy & brainrotted, and does his own thinking and his own work, I mentioned in convo how using Al has dire environmental consequences among other serious problems

I never understood KRs’ particular culture of frantic desperation around needing to be in a relationship.
People around me were all so dramatic and anxious about it especially the males, chronically whining about not having a partner, and me being like ”I do not understand, and I do not want to.”

Sad to see a restaurant I used to frequent shut down…I went almost weekly and then the cook changed and then the seasoning on every single dish got extremely Sweet.
I asked them why it became so sweet all of a sudden and told them a few times that it was really an excessive degree of sweetness.

What I adore and can’t get over about Shoshimin is that it is one of the rare stories that do not regard the (both socially imposed and self-chosen) social isolation of the protagonists as a Problem that the protagonists are required to overcome and fix in order to be happy.

in which people start turning into rhinoceroses one by one and causing destruction, but everyone’s response to the situation is strangely distracted & tolerant
