My answer: it all starts with your captain. Nick Suzuki leads in all the right ways and it sets a precedent within the whole organization. Not just contract stuff but everything else as well

For years, the Habs couldn’t get anyone to take a hometown discount. That seemed to be for other cities to enjoy.

What changed?

Everyone is gonna have a theory.

For me, it’s about building a winner and being in a respectful environment.

Players need a place to feel appreciated, safe, respected.
