Dishonorable mention for Halo 4. Halo 4 stinks. Yuck!

It's sort of funny the way it fails in interesting ways on a technical level, but no points for unintented humor. It slaps that it has the player waste a bunch of Klan guys, but Mafia III and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus do that, too, and those games have engaging stories and are fun to play

Red Dead Redemption 2, the most overrated turd in Rockstar's catalog, which is a field crowded with overrated turds. 40% of the game is tutorials for stuff you'll never even have the opportunity to do again. The control choices are inexplicable. The plot stinks on ice. A pointless technical showcase

What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)

“Israel” killed most of the people who died on October 7th and it killed most of the hostages who died in Gaza. But all we hear in the West is Hamas, Hamas, Hamas, who, under international law, have the right to resist occupation by force. Any real peace will not include “Israel” at all.

"Don't snitch" is one of my most central political beliefs

I'm sympathetic to this perspective but even as this same person says later in the thread, people who think like this always think the time for violence is a "later" that never comes. Whether Milan sees it this way or not, it becomes a rationalization for turning in activists who like smash a window

they're prepping eulogies for a dude who a few months ago was angrily insisting on his right to run for reelection

I can't remember any of the names, unfortunately, but the Baptist summer camp I spent many years attending and working at (despite being raised Catholic) had a legendary giant snapping turtle (mate to the definitely not plaster one mounted in the dining hall), a ghost girl (Sadie?), and a loose puma

One of his kids (along with several other civilians). Trump had spec ops perverts kill his daughter some years later. Reaching across the aisle!

I need ppl to understand that no matter how well meaning someone running as a democrat is, when they are absorbed and become somewhat dependent on the party, they will make concessions and use language they provide etc

It’s like how capitalists, no matter how well meaning, need to increase profit

Today's the 959th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, so obviously I'm reposting my scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry in Playmobil.

I need you all to remember this as well...that bluesky actively assisted in ethnically cleansing Palestinians
indrapramitdas.bsky.social
Just saw 2 Palestinian accounts vanish right after asking me for help--one a mother grieving her baby daughter who just died of starvation, another begging for help to keep her little sick, starving baby daughter alive. I cannot say what I think of Bluesky admin.

The zionists broke the "ceasefire" in less than a day, but because the Magic Words were said, it's now ok to forget the ongoing genocide and welcome its perpetrators with open arms

Once again: this is also happening in DC. Still.

It feels like we’ve been forgotten, maybe because there aren’t huge confrontations to run photos of. But our neighbors are still being taken every day. Routine traffic stops are now done by 12+ feds alongside local police.

Please talk about us too.

"Residents in Chicago and Portland are living in a police state where masked armed forces kidnap who they want to kidnap, where they have to listen to public officials routinely lie about what is happening in their neighborhoods." donmoynihan.substack.com/p/purge-merg...

Federal Secret Police and plainclothes ICE agents kidnap multiple people from a neighborhood in Chicago. They then deploy teargas and brutally beat neighbors who come out to express their concern.

So yeah, go to the dogmatically ineffectual Dem GOTV parades, I'm not saying don't. I have! But don't let your personal aversion to violence curdle into dogmatic opposition. Again, I don't know that that's what Milan is saying here. I'm just saying it's a line of logic that can lead to collaboration

Oh I did that a while ago lol

I was hoping you'd be willing to confront how normalizing doing harm leads to harm, but c'est la vie
habits.bsky.social
I'm saying you're rationalizing to avoid cognitive dissonance. There are plenty of things you believe should change about society, you've just decided that caring for the disabled shouldn't be one of them, and confronting that would feel Bad. So you made a yell thread about why you shouldn't have to
habits.bsky.social
I know you reject it! We're wired to avoid cognitive dissonance because it doesn't feel very nice
habits.bsky.social
It's neither! They may disagree on many things and there's not like an annual conference, but they do all share a belief that they shouldn't be bothered. You seem to think it's necessary to just accept that that's ok, which I can't understand
habits.bsky.social
I think expecting people to care about others is a pretty reasonable standard, even if most people would rather not meet that standard

Both of these posts are answers to questions I didn't ask
