ALSO TRUMP: If you’re doing time because you helped traffic 400 tons of cocaine to the U.S. via Honduras you get a “Full and Complete Pardon.”

Hegseth wasn't chosen as merely a Fox News buffoon who then bumbles his way into war crimes out of machismo incompetence. He was chosen specifically because he is, and has been for a long time, a proud, open, and explicit advocate of war crimes as a good thing we should do.
A chapter in Hegseth’s book is literally titled “More Lethality, Less Lawyers.”

It’s almost as if there were signs!

A reminder that the current SECDEF caught the eye of the president by championing the pardoning of American war criminals — men whose own units testified against them, and who were convicted by military juries

He should never have been nominated for, let alone confirmed in, this job

A note on SaneWashing: I read part of this post to family (all liberal Democrats who consume a lot of news, but not social media), and it blew their mind. They all thought it was parody: if Corporate Media did not SaneWash, it would shock US, his approval would plummet from low (30s) to lower(20s).

Which makes the extrajudicial killing of Venezuelans even more immoral

Trump offered a full pardon today to the former president of Honduras, who was convicted of trafficking 400 tons of drugs into the United States.

Here’s the text of the Northwestern settlement with the DoJ, which includes a $75 million financial component / payoff (cc @profmarkovic.bsky.social):
