I would conservatively estimate that 90% of literary discourse online is driven by people who literally do not read what they're pontificating about. They complain about contemporary fiction, literary fiction, genre fiction, postmodernism, YA books, whatever that they just do not read.

something tricky i have to do is pack up the zine factory and much of the bits and pieces of my office to put them into the attic for a while. i need calm space more than access to these things: i haven’t made a zine since i was pregnant, and this isn’t the season for a home studio.

sorry to be like ~oh my husband understands me but for my birthday cb got me a pair of chelsea peers pajamas with sacred hearts on them, a hobonichi journal and ways of seeing by john berger. i have been truly and completely witnessed in my self by this man and i welcome 38 and all it has to offer
