I think being missed in all the shock at the reaction to the CEO murder is, sure it's partly a reaction to our inhumane health insurance situation, but I think it's also in the context of the details coming out about how billionaires just bought an election through well financed mendacity.

I’ve spent the last 18 months writing about the Roman Empire. In some ways, we’ve progressed immeasurably far in the last 1500 years. If you as a parent do not want your child to read about something, that is your job as a parent to oversee their reading. It should absolutely not affect what children who are not yours are reading.

GOP Sen. Kevin Cramer says if Hegseth agreed to stop drinking, he might support him. This reasoning is completely unhinged. If you have concerns about someone's drinking (OR THEM ASSAULTING WOMEN) they should NEVER be Defense Secretary. I think that's fair. Hegseth must withdraw.
