Big win for the 603 bus! 🎉
After months of campaigning, TfL will move the second afternoon service to 4pm from 5 January, so students living and studying along the route can finally use it on their way home.
A small change that means fewer car trips, safer journeys, and a better-used route. 😀

Great to see the 2025 budget keep the Cycle to Work scheme in place!

It matters: every £1 invested in cycling and walking brings nearly £6 in benefits: better public health, stronger local high streets, and more vibrant communities.

Let’s keep backing active travel. 💚🚲
This week we wrote to Rachel Reeves urging the Treasury not to cap the Cycle to Work Scheme. 🚲

For many families, it’s the only affordable way to access cargo bikes: a true alternative to the car that supports children’s health, reduces congestion, and improves air quality. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💚🌬️

A surprising number of school run car journeys start from homes less than 1km away.

That’s a walkable distance for many — but instead, we get more traffic, more pollution, and fewer chances for kids to move.

What if we reimagined the school run as time for fresh air and connection, not congestion?

Walking buses are such a great way for kids to get to school safely and socially. 🚶👫

With parents or chaperones leading the way, it’s more than just a walk — it’s a community journey.

Less traffic, more fresh air, and happier mornings all around. 💚

Thrilled to be part of the SUV Alliance! We fully support a large-vehicle levy: a fair tool to raise revenue and to discourage the rise of oversized, polluting vehicles that make our urban streets much less safe, especially for children.
We’ve joined forces across civil society & have written a joint letter to the HM Treasury advising urgent tax reform on the UK’s heaviest, most polluting cars.

We’re calling for change: a straightforward large vehicle levy, that would raise nearly £2bn for vital public investment.

They market their cars as weapons and we allow them on the same roads as children cycling to school.

And I still get weird middle-aged men in my notifications obfuscating for and defending this.

This is not a serious society.

Long lines of cars and blocked crosswalks have become the norm in Hampstead during school drop-offs.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Our kids deserve a safer, calmer start to their day — and so do we. 🚶🚸🌿
