Dear USA,

You are welcome to your self-imposed isolation.

The rest of the world neither wants nor needs you anyway.

Turn off the light on your way out.

This is the ‘economic gravity’ that makes wealth rush up and trickle down a lie?

The ‘economic gravity’ of centrist, neoliberal consensus that plunders the state for ‘shareholder value’ on Wall St?

The one which bailed out the banks but won’t bail out the impoverished?

Oh, do fuck off.

This, disappearances, fat twats with guns, and licence to use violence, and is it any wonder tourism to the USA has fallen off a cliff?

Rogue nation status, best avoided.
My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

‘Economic gravity’?

When was the last time ‘trickle down’ economics landed? That’s effing anti-gravity.

Vote Green 💚 if you deserve better than this 🐂💩

Wow! This is an astounding, and very exciting development!

Bravo @georgemonbiot.bsky.social and all in the Earth Rover team.
1. Some good news at last. This week’s column is about the amazing thing a couple of us stumbled into three years ago, which we’ve now developed into a global research programme. It doesn’t change everything, of course, but it could help change quite a lot. + 🧵 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

There is nothing good about this.

Farmers are on the front lines of the climate crisis, with extreme weather leading to record losses in 2025.

The govt must take urgent steps to invest in tackling climate breakdown now, including targeted support for farmers to move to more climate-resilient methods.

UK nature is being failed says OEP.

So let’s do something about it, says RSPB.

Spot on.
England’s most important nature sites are being failed.❌

Protected sites can and should be driving nature’s recovery.

But today’s OEP report exposes the real problem: years of weak delivery, underfunding and political drift have left them unable to do the job the law intended.

The single hardest thing to do in our current economic system is to design a pathway from this flop to a better one.

Deeply unfair of Rory to spear in at @zackpolanski.bsky.social on a topic *every* political economist trained under the neoliberal whip would struggle to answer coherently.
