late to this but they set them off from a barge in the river, location seems to vary some, I watch from Algiers, but basically between Jackson Square and spanish plaza. any hotel with a good view of the river would work. Westin and Hilton are both good calls.

where I grew up there were 4 houses in walking distance and one was the crabby old man who hated kids .. begged mom to drive us into town but nope. so I just love getting a crowd and treating them well. babes to teens and parents, if they come out they can have something.
