Horrified by plans for compulsory digital ID cards. This undermines civil liberties. Comparisons such as Estonia, where there is more trust in public institutions, are invalid. What if the next government is more authoritarian than Labour? Furthermore, not in the 2024 election manifesto. #DigitalID

Thanks for all your responses here. It will be very interesting to see what John has to say. For my part, I've never been able to live wholly off of music, although at times it's been a decent second income. The landscape changes every day for Indies. I'd like know more about these pickups you make?

Played my last festival of the summer season with the band this weekend, in the middle of a beautiful farm on Dartmoor. Was a really lovely gig too - we played just as it got dark. Had a great 'campfire session' vibe (despite the lack of actual fire in the tent).
