two parts once again because alt text limit Sigh . full disclosure this was made with the help of a thesaurus because im not used to writing poems that actually rhyme anything except the -ight words (light, night, fight, etc)

s.e.a. / i had a dream i was back in southeast asia

theres a certain familiarity in the landscapes of my dreams
call it deja vu, but i know exactly what ive seen
though its not something i believe, that universe where time moves slower
paired with perfect paint-chipped houses and a musty sort of odor
images in the window replaced, slid between like picture frames
the creases in my hands deepen, but as they move i never age
and ive never quite fallen into the arms of predicting fate
visions of blindness still, in periphery is where they stay

three in a row's a pattern
why i dont go's a mystery
return is start, peace is ardour
the store forms a circle looking back
departments and compartments
for games to slot into
like counting pipes above my head
as i lean my frame against the rack

the certain need occurs to capture everything i feel
timeframes without a name and a forward-thinking zeal
contained within my structure, the brain is the only part i feed
down the hall or through the midway, smell it steep and seethe
and they say that circumstances of the sleep affect your dreams
perhaps thats why you came right back, when i recite this hymn indeed
fake in all perspectives, but it exists in mine to teach
how i stumble into arms unwilling and warm up empty seats
(and dont quite pay attention to anything around me)

i could walk, but theres a lack
i leave the grass, the grass comes back
the same old fight, a new attackfront
an open door, a selfish act
the ocean fades, out of the blue
i rub my eyes, now gone too soon
the outside shows familiar scenes
a wooden plank tied to a tree

well aware im higher up than what reality allows
and to think there wouldnt be a balcony in such a modern miniature town
the senseless direction they take, the roads, alleyways and pounds
even faces melt together at the brink of what is found
only through misconstrued interpretation am i able to divine
who it is i went with, and even then im hypnotised
i cant recall the road i took, or why she was two years older
the conflicting views and paper crumbled will taint it once the air is colder

the floor to ceiling windows shatter
the wall of light and droplets scatter

but it is still
the same doorway i stand in now
every vision tagged along somehow
once i go, and feel the sea
the paint will catch up with me
