This seems sensible. Let the best candidate win. And hopefully then deliver us from any more “concerning” Susan Collins memes.

I don’t have anything against Mills. By all accounts she is a good Governor. But there comes a time in life when the wise know it is time to step off the stage. Schumer is doing her, and us, no favors in his attempt to to prolong the problem of Dem Party gerontocracy.

Tish James lit up the room last night — and her words echoed far beyond the walls of The United Palace. This is a fight for the future.

"After we win in November, we do not demobilize. The rich and corporate interests who tried to buy this election with the millions they stole from our pockets will want to see us fail.

We won’t let them." - Chi Ossé

Governor Mills pledges to only serve one six year term? Welp, that’s reassuring since she will be in her mid 80s at the end of that term, and God does still have term limits. But seriously, Dems, WTF are you doing here? Retire your gerontocracy already!

we’ll see how his mayoral tenure shakes out but i am convinced that Mamdani has the juice. not just the charisma to win an election but the temperament to govern and the measured pragmatism of someone who genuinely believes what they’re saying and wants to accomplish real things.

New York City has a population larger than at least 10 states and is the financial & media capital of the world. New Orleans has nice beignets. See the difference? But seriously, that’s why greedy billionaires have spent $$$ demonizing Democrat Mamdani and also why America now knows who he is. 🤷‍♂️

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

Precisely. BC once the potential illegal action has fully taken place, you can’t really unring that bell. I mean you’re going to allow peoples’ lives and livelihoods to be destroyed and then come back months and years later and maybe say “oops, sorry?” Justice delayed is justice denied.

If the data doesn't confirm the unhinged despot's lies, the data has failed him and must be wrong, says Very Serious Intellectual JD Vance

WELKER: Are you looking at invoking the Insurrection Act?

VANCE: We have to remember we are talking about this bc crime has gotten out of control

W: Crime is down in both Chicago & Portland

V: Crime is down bc they are so overwhelmed at the local level they are not even keeping stats properly

The most dangerous form of government is theocracy.

Because the only thing worse than a tyrant is a tyrant who thinks they're on a mission from God.

The cops will “walk?” Welp, let them walk all the way back to Rockville Centre or whatever NIMBY suburb they live in. The only ones that will actually walk are the ones whose fat pensions and retiree health benefits are already fully vested.

Trump famously taunted Zelenskyy that he “didn’t have the cards.” That was a bad reading of how things might play out. Vance is also arrogantly playing cards here. Badly. China has already decided they have a much higher pain threshold than Americans. Interesting times. Stay tuned.

Obvious follow up question is if Vance thinks Homan should claim the “payment for services” on his income tax return. Failing to do so is what they finally got Capone on.
