Supervisor won’t answer questions. Minister has banned livestreams of public meetings …
They’re not even pretending this is about “fiscal responsibility”, it’s dismantling transparency and local voice and governance.

“The province’s recent sidelining of trustees at four boards is not about improved governance. It is about erasure. Erasing local democratic governance severs the link between schools & communities & undermines accountability to the public.” www.thetrillium.ca/opinion/opin... #onted #onpoli #topoli

We’re watching the dismantling of our democracy by Ford’s Conservatives in real time.

A poll released yesterday found that a majority of Ontario parents support keeping their trustees. Ford needs to listen to parents and stop this madness.

Being diplomatic is not ass-kissing. When the prime minister is dealing with an American president who’s an unhinged maniac, it’s advantageous to handle things with finesse.

I’m old enough to remember this
The classic 7th inning stretch song ‘OK Blue Jays’.

The singer is the great Radio Pirate Keith Hampshire.

Dating myself here but I recall his hits from the 70’s including ‘The first cut is the deepest’ & ‘Big Time Operator’ among others.

A great story. #BlueJays
