So it turns out making animatics using random voice clips is a LOT of fun, so I'll be making this a regular thing. It's also a good way to build both my skills and an audience, which I'm gonna be focusing on a lot in 2026.

The older I get, the more cringe I wanna be. I'll be 38 next year and I plan on being cringier than ever before. More honest, more vulnerable, more sincere. I wasn't really happy with how the original sketch turned out. In fact, it actually got me paranoid about my ability to draw crying. SO I got my mirror and got some solid expression practice in!
I also mixed up my ink & color techniques for this. MUCH better 🖤

My initial pencils are very loose and messy. I basically figure out what I want as I'm going, drawing & erasing tons of lines then picking the ones I want. After that I do the lineart with waterproof ink using dip pens and brushes, then I tape it down and paint it with watercolors.🤡

My only complaint with the scene is I wish Husk had cried. He's lost the man he loves and he's devastated. He never got to tell him how he felt, or even to say goodbye. Yeah, Angel will be back, obviously, but Husk still should've wept. He should've broken down into a sobbing, inconsolable mess.
