Call for supporters [if you like or repost this, you'll be added to the work ✌🏼] — I'm launching a visual demo as a tribute to Studio Olafur Eliasson which has been inspirational to me in my search to somehow make people feel more connected to each other, even for a tiny bit. I built this because: 👇
Nucleus — A tribute to Studio Olafur Eliasson
Human connection is what makes life special, yet modern times often seem to divide us. This little webpage aims to evoke a tiny sense of connectedness, no matter the physical distance between us.

Enjoy the weekend 🍂
Work in progress for a little tribute page I'm building. You start and think it'll take a couple of hours but there's always that one new thing to try and discover, right?
This is the way 😆
Me too, started teaching 20 years ago so there weren’t any real web dev programs before that
I feel like I found my people now! Btw, fellow-teacher here (code, not math), also shader coder at night ;p
aw yes, also really digging the colors here!
Aaaah those textures! Lovely!
next step: saying that this 8-person meeting could have been an email
oh man, that's an instant classic right there. I teach web design and dev in college, feels like a must have for next semester! :p
Had to read that sentence twice but now I get it :p
Missed all the updates. Still seeing squares.
Makes you wonder about the universe doesn’t it
work in progress — a tribute

everything I build is code-based and works interactively in any browser, phone or otherwise

the open web was, is and remains a crazy place

This proves that nature beats netflix into infinity, great pics Jeff!
I wonder if there ever will be a point in time where people will even blink at these kinds of “investments” or “technological progress”. My guess is there won’t be.
I enjoyed the read!
That worked out well !
I've been looking for an excuse to visit Bristol once, this might be it for 2026 for me!
colors, shapes and shaders — my kind of Friday!
Why are we talking about AI so much 😆. Great demo, that’s the conclusion of it!’
everything in the okay dev platform feels like it's built by a dev who cares for devs who care, I'm happy to be there

kudos to @ericvanholtz.com for leading that effort!
A new home for the creative industry.

I often record GIFs from my shaders by converting a mov or mp4 and gifsky by @sindresorhus.com is defnitely the easiest and best option to do that. Thanks Sindre! gif.ski

damn I should get into creating decent shortcuts first
I think my response was misplaced. If you are an expert (you can't be more of an expert than you!) then it's a great way to move forward much faster. I think my response came more from my background as a teacher and beginners start to think they don't need basic math anymore and just use the calc.
Definitely true. The conversation around A.I. is too complicated. I'm a teacher and see beginners just use the "calculator" without learning basic math so to speak. If you're serious about using A.I. to learn something it's great, but more often it's used as "just" the shortcut by beginners.
