This is an inspiration for a really phenomenal piece of writing FROM me.

Not sure when I will get it written and revised and edited well enough to be published but, make no mistake: Barack Obama inspired it and ME!

They seem to think it’s about morality, ethic, decency.

I agree with them.

Policy differences are one thing.
Flagrant criminality another.

In light of a Secretary of Defense who would lead the entire US Armed Forces "astray" if these current actions of his are not checked--and checked HARD--this is a must-read thread.

There are moral people in this world. We should extol and emulate them.

Let us teach our president that lesson.

Since he loves authoritarian cruelty so much, he should deport himself to Cuba’s dictatorship and stop violating the rule of law.

Hegseth's response to a potential war crimes scandal is to praise Admiral Mitch Bradley as a hero while throwing him under the bus to avoid the backlash.

Every officer watching has learned to expect zero loyalty and accountability from the Secretary of Defense when the heat turns up.

“I stand by him and the combat decisions he has made,” the Secretary of Defense said, as he has come under scrutiny for a potentially illegal command.

When Trump dismissed all of the military’s top lawyers last Feb., we couldn't see this coming -- the war crimes, the straddling or violation of Posse Comitatus? The graft and elimination of IGs? Die was cast from Day 1. Congress slept. It's a criminal regime. No editorialization necessary.

Yet he just pardoned the Honduran ex-president who helped push more than 500 tons of cocaine into the U.S., took a $1 million bribe from El Chapo and bragged he would “stuff the drugs up the gringos’ noses.”

Since Admiral Bradley has a duty to follow the Constitution and the Uniform Military Code of Justice, he must testify-if subpoenaed-and state who ordered the “kill” strike

By throwing him under the bus, Karoline Leavitt just gave him incentive to cut a deal for immunity so he can do exactly that
REPORTER: Does the administration deny that that second strike happened, or did it happen and the administration denies that Hegseth gave the order?

LEAVITT: The latter. Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes. He worked well within his authority and the law.
