Jagex acknowledged and proposed fixes for the sailing backlash in 24 hours because the players cried and rioted.
Jagex did not acknowledge the backlash after removing the Pride event. Even after over a month of rioting and demanding that it be re-added.

We've got some updates regarding our recent Sailing XP review.

Jagex acknowledged and proposed fixes for the sailing backlash in 24 hours because the players cried and rioted.
Jagex did not acknowledge the backlash after removing the Pride event. Even after over a month of rioting and demanding that it be re-added.

Sailing nerfs prob wouldn't be so controversial if they had done them before people started hitting 99.
Doesn't help that that the skill was being developed for like 3 years and they clearly didn't test well enough if the XP rates they set were so surprising to them that they had to nerf it hard.

I legit feel like Sailing is the moment we're seeing OSRS finally modernize while still maintaining the feel of being "old school."
It's hard for me to explain what I mean by this but I feel like sailing managed to feel old school while also feeling like it was designed in this decade.
