I’m not optimistic. Justices with Ivy League law degrees wearing black robes are undoing what the KKK in white robes couldn’t stop.

And they’ve twisted the 14th amendment into a protection clause for whites.

They’re just pulling stuff out of their butts & ruling on vibes & right-wing grievances.

The only issue I have with Mills and Platner competing against each other is the the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee has weighed in and set up a campaign fund with Mills. Sure seems like the Party putting its thumb on the scale very early in the campaign.

Zephyr Teachout, in her 2014 book “Corruption in America” presents a history of US political corruption. There was a time in the not too distant past when the current system of campaign finance was illegal. The SCOTUS undid that.

I’m assuming the DSCC hasn’t established a similar victory fund with Platner.
The Democrats deep pocket donor culture is EVERYTHING that’s wrong with the Party. The donor class wants their preferred policies enacted in exchange for their support. And what the donor class wants, the people don’t.

So- I’ve read plenty of columns by the commentary class essentially saying- hey, the primary process is good and let Mills and Platner compete for the nomination and may the best candidate win. But here the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is putting its thumb on the scale for Mills.

Shouldn’t Republicans be working on their own budget rather than passing continuing resolutions to keep Joe Biden’s last budget extended?

Why aren’t they doing their jobs and what are you and other Democrats in the House doing to let the American people know Republicans are missing in action?

The article ends with the proud boy member walking back the talk about signing members up for ICE and working to recruit more members to join up. “Oh, we are just trolling. Most of what we do is troll” (paraphrasing here).

The right wing conspiracy set lost their minds over a military training exercise intended to train special operations units from different service branches to work together.

That was just training. Not a deployment.
