The ability to travel, trade & communicate easily has made the world “smaller” & has made the US smaller & thus we are all impacted by all politics, because I can quickly move between states. 40% of Americans have lived in more than one state. In today’s world, it all matters. Exhausting!

For those not familiar, an HSA (Heath Savings Account) requires funding by the insured. $ deposited into an HSA has the advantage of being “before taxes” but it’s still money the insured has to come up with to fund the account, which is used specifically for medical bills (but not premiums).

Recent study shows college students can’t do simple math; Which is why DJT gets away with saying drug costs will go down as much as 600%.
At a grocery store checking a plant out that was 1/2 off. Checker & bagger argued if it 1/2 or 50% off. When I offered “it’s the same thing” they were befuddled.

MS NOW, CNN - any National news outlet should keep a permanent ticker on the screen (similar to what was done during COVID) with a deaths by guns tally. Shootings have become so common place that they are not even making the headlines. People are numb or unaware. We need the problem in our face.

The reporting on the shootings this weekend has been simply awful. If reporters could answer this question: “if I was listening & watching what would I want to know?” & then proceed to scratch that itch… or perhaps they do ask the question but are people who lack curiosity? I’m at a loss to explain.
Horrible weekend with a lot of horrible stuff and also a lot of police unable to figure out what’s going on.

Anyone suggesting that the “drug runners” were trying to flip their destroyed boat over to take off have no common sense or life experience. It’s hard to right a flipped-over canoe, for goodness sakes! These crazy claims are an embarrassment to all those who make them!

This morning’s news more upsetting than usual. Regarding the illegal boat strike-no, men clinging to the side of the bombed boat were NOT going to “flip it back over” & continue on. AND $120k per yr in ACA fraud is not considered “massive fraud” in terms of the $ involved. The reporting is so poor!

Once an Election Day has begun, polls, conjecture or anything that could impact voters (like causing them to think they cannot make an impact with their vote), should be disallowed.
I do not support election results being “called” before all the votes are counted.

Greed is an American culture flaw. US policies have rewarded greed resulting in the government being sold to the greediest of Americans perpetuating wealth inequality. (wealth isn’t synonymous with greed, but can lead to greed- much like drinking can lead to alcoholism for those with the propensity)

I just reapplied and my new premium will be $1062/month.
And don’t forget: I still have a co-pay for every visit and pay for prescriptions.

The air space over/around Venezuela was declared closed by DJT on social media. Is this how important notices are disseminated now? I’m not comfortable trusting my flight security to this slap-dash method of notification meant to reach critical people about important flight path changes.

Will humans continue to be creative once we begin to rely on AI? Creative people have a drive to create now. Is it a feature of DNA? Will humans continue to contribute to the collective intelligence that is the basis for AI? Or do we just give up now & let our minds become lazy & mush? Interesting.

As America becomes more like an oligarchy with the wealth & associated power concentrated to the few 1%, it’s time to realize that the US government hasn’t belonged to the American people for a long time & belongs to those who have purchased the opportunity to prey on the other 99%.

I believe (because I’m old & have life experience & because I’m of pretty sound mind that is able to use logic) that the Epstein files are rife with names of the very wealthy/famous. AND JE made most of his money from blackmail which was also the reason for his murder. GM probably has the goods.

This doesn’t seem to happen often enough- wherever & whenever a person claiming to work for ICE is acting in a way that endangers citizens while having no paper proof of their authority, arrests should be made. We expect our law enforcement to protect the local population it’s sworn to serve.
