A nice quick first period ends with the Leafs up 1-0 over the Caps. The unfortunate non-goal early, coupled with Toronto's goal, kinda sucked the momentum away from Washington. They've still been creating more chances, and it'll swing back their way if they keep playing like this. #ALLCAPS

Unfortunately, the refs got that one right in review. They shouldn't have blown the whistle when they did, but the puck wasn't going in until post-whistle play. #ALLCAPS

The Capitals keep a one-goal lead going into the third, up 3-2, and this time they'll be the ones with a power play. The Jets took a penalty late and the Caps played good keepaway to save every second. Shots are 26-12 now. I think the defense might need to step up just a little bit. #ALLCAPS

Not the most inspiring news, but at least it's a step closer to clarity on Dowd's situation. Trineyev as the extra makes sense to me and hopefully he won't have to get into games either way. #ALLCAPS
