It is time boys and girlies, for my first time on bluesky 2025-26 NHL Season Preview. On the old site before each season I used to post my annual projections and add some commentary going into each new NHL Season. Now that this is my new digs, we shall be doing this annually here.

Andrade's apparently subject to a ONE-YEAR no-compete. This is shocking if it's true, surely not legal for any industry either.

New TKO contracts have a clause where if you are fired for cause or breach, there is a one-year non-compete. The older contracts had this but it's standard now. This is the hold-up involving Andrade.

That all being said, process wise, should have kept Vinny over Mac, but he probably was better served playing games from a development standpoint over sitting most of his A23 season.

But just from a player eval, I think people acting like Vinny is some amazing prospect havent watched him much

He has size and generally skates well, but I think he still has a way to go if he’s going to be a primary defensive option, and I don’t think his offense is good enough to classify as two-way viable. Compared to say a Siegenthaler who I loved, I don’t see it as much with Vinny.

Hes never really improved in his 3 years in Hershey from an offensive standpoint, and I don’t see that really becoming a main portion of his game. As well in the defensive zone he’s never really been a huge physical presence, and I feel he gets skittish when trying to clear pucks (ala Alex^2)

He’s about to turn 23 and as someone who’s watched him up
here for 3 years and dont just see name age, RHD, and think the world, i think he’s been generally uninspiring.

Oh yay I can be honest now.

I think it’s far more likely Iorio ends back up on waivers than he becomes a full time player for the Sharks.

I did not have him at any point last year during my check in rankings as a top 10 prospect for us and I have questions about his long term viability as an NHLer

Seems like if you have to put out a statement when you add a player, you may not be upholding your “core values” otherwise why would you need a statement saying as such
