I'm gonna watch Char's Counterattack tomorrow night. I've already seen it (like 3 times lol), but never with the context of ALL of that came before it. I don't know what of my thoughts - if any - will change as a result, but I'm digging in regardless.

...but man those first like 16 or so episodes are fucking TRASH. Mind-numbing drivel, slop in its purest form. I know *why* it's like that, but it frankly feels disrespectful to the audience and very nearly sank my efforts. So fucking glad I trudged through that nonsense to get to the Good Shit.

There is A LOT of good in ZZ. The middle chunk of the show is peak Gundam, genuinely some of the best shit ever, man. And it definitely continues to be good, but I think the reintroduction to the space bound supporting cast/villains end up feeling a bit odd.

I feel like the ending was a bit weak overall, but the final moments of the last episode kinda tie it all together nicely - Judau's frustration, followed by his immediate relief, and then also the conclusion that I specifically went into ZZ to see really hit me, man.
