I think the best era of Touhou doujin music was the 2000s - a lot of diversity existed in the ways tracks were arranged, as well as in what style they were done. I feel like nowadays a significant amount of arranges don't really change much in terms of arrangement or even instrumentation at times.

Because the designs were appealing and unique. Besides, some of the tech had interesting features that were niche but useful in certain situations. Nowadays everything is bland and lacks that futuristic punch that the 2000s had.

Glad I made the jump a year ago. My hopes are that others do so as well, but unfortunately there will be a minority that would insist on profits or other motives to maintain their presence. Still, I'd rather stay here than ever reconsider coming back to that site - was a wise move on my end really.
I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.
