The Norwich defence breathes a sigh of relief as they clear the ball to safety.
Until @IanWright0 does this.
The look on their faces as it floats back, over their heads, into the net.
Sometimes there’s just nothing you can do.

We have to get Eze skipping past Xhaka once or twice more. Don’t accept at all that he’s worked *that* out of his system.

Just noticed this a day late - very pleasant read and very pertinent, worth your time if you also missed it.
Brought to mind those two consecutive towering headers by Gabi in the 2nd half at Burnley, greeted with war cries in the away end.

I'm covering the main blog today.
If it were a LinkedIn post (which it never will be), it would be titled:
"What golf, tears, and a 12-year-old named Henry taught me about winning (and Arsenal)"

This is kinda mad
Every goal conceded has been to fall behind. We haven’t conceded any once leading

Played 16, conceded 3.
Anyone know the English record for fewest goals conceded in a season in *all competitions*?

Nice thing about watching this game is knowing that you’re spending your evening the same way as Mikel Arteta.

I struggle to think of other examples of such tedious drama around a footballer losing their place in a team.
A manager has the right to switch goalkeepers whenever they like.
And it was proven right!

Mary Earps has criticised Sarina Wiegman’s handling of the process of deciding England’s No 1 goalkeeper in her new autobiography.

Aunt’s funeral yesterday. She had no interest in football at all, and yet - somewhat bizarrely - accompanied me to the 1998 FA Cup final. Think she enjoyed Abide With Me more than Overmars’ goal tbh, but still takes a little piece of Arsenal history with her.

The most important driver of the gap between the two groups is commercial income, where the Big Six generate a staggering 8.2x as much as the other 14 clubs, as well as match day revenue, where the multiple is a hefty 5.3x. Broadcasting is "only" 1.6x.
