Well, dancing seems to mean something to him.
In the future, there might be academies that support citizen scientists. No academic affiliation required. Faculty/masters are generously paid with public funds, of course.
These academies are nodes in an ecological system that borrow and share their work, immediately successful/applicable or not.
Oof. This one is a dagger.

Trump claims that a mystery friend has donated $130 million to pay troops (it would cover a fraction) but we can’t know any details because he “doesn’t want recognition.”

I appreciate anyone willing to give $130 million to our troops but I’d still like to know more about this.

the point of the ballroom obvs has nothing to do with aesthetics. it's to create an architectural structure to honor the patronage networks that currently dominate US politics. previous WH venues hosted maybe a couple of hundred people; this hosts nearly 1,000 rich donors.

Aw man. Kenny Loggins will wait while you catch up on his greatest hits. It's going to be okay.
Nope. Song lyrics amended for the purpose of commentary.
He's alright.

I questioned that, and got a milquetoast response. And I was exhausted. So the car was repaired, but I've not forgotten how that insurance company lied to me.
Their reply said no, it's not totalled. The paper showed a fully-loaded car: sunroof, air conditioning, radio, leather seats, fancy tires - everything the car could have had but didn't. So they said the car was worth more than the damage.
A few weeks of ownership in, the car was t-boned. I sent a claim into the other guy's insurance company. The car is totalled, right?
When I was in my 20s and struggling, I bought my first new car because the interest rate (13%!) was much lower than for a used car. + I had had enough of super old cars.
It was completely feature-free. Not even a radio.
US law claims that corporations are people. You know what they say about people: they remember how you make them feel.
So here's a message to corporations: people you screw over when they are young will never forget it. /1

So now he's commoner Andrew, right?
"increasingly distrustful"? Maybe when they are talking out loud.
Define the difference for us. Is, for instance, authenticity performative at this point?
Tonight's double feature of contrasts, both fighting fascists. Casablanca and Children of Men.
