I've been browsing that viral "taco drawing book" and honestly... 🧍some of these tips are so eye-opening? you're telling me *this* is what my missing puzzle was to make that pose not look weird????
a tiny piece of the mentioned book, it shows a sketch silhouette of a man sitting down with head resting in his hand, elbow propped on his thigh. The forearm is colored in yellow and a vertical arrow explains that the length of that yellow area should be around the size of his head. Text says: "If the elbows are placed on the thighs, lower the upper body to create a head-sized space."

The explosion of AI imagery online has had an odd side effect for me: it's made me so much happier to see amateur art.

I love seeing art from people at various stages of experience, even when things are rough and folks are just starting out.

It makes me happy, now, in a way that it never used to.

True story.
Seven-panel comic depicting me toiling away at the difficult task of drawing comics, considering quitting, and a rather conveniently received email from a 5th grader that encouraged me to continue. Comics can be hard work, often with setbacks and challenges, but the inspiration they might give to others can make all the toil worth it.
